Job Description Job Description Job Title: Permitting Specialist I Location: 800 Rahway Avenue Union New Jersey 07083 Schedule: 4x onsite, 1 day remote. 8am - 4:30pm Travel expectation: 90% in office, with occasional field/township runs Pay Rate: $30-$35/hr W2 + optional benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401k) Duration of Contract: Long term contract with extension/conversion possibility Responsibilities: Manage 100–200 permit applications at a time for assigned builds/projects Prepare, submit, and track pole permits and related approvals through each workflow step Coordinate with township, county, and state offices to secure permits and resolve issues Proactively follow up with permitting agencies to prevent delays and ensure progression Maintain accurate trackers, documentation, and status Qualifications: Must have previous telecommunications permitting experience, ideally pole permitting specifically Plus skills: Experience supporting JCPL, PPL, Verizon, Frontier, Met-Ed, or PECO Experience with GIS or similar mapping software Company Culture: From your first day, you’ll have the support and resources needed to grow your career to new heights and direction
