Job Description Job Description Key Responsibilities: * Lead the design, development, and release of closure hardware components across five key commodity areas, including handles and latches * Support hardware integration activities for vehicle closure systems (front, rear, and side closures) across current and future programs * Analyze and validate system interactions to ensure proper fit, function, and performance of components * Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, and quality to drive product development * Execute design validation activities including DFMEA, DFSS, and tolerance analysis (GD&T) * Support engineering changes through established change management systems * Develop and maintain technical documentation, reports, and design records Required Qualifications: * Bachelor of Science in Engineering (required - no exceptions) * Minimum of 5 years of experience in product design or automotive engineering * Strong understanding of product development processes * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Preferred Qualifications: * Experience with vehicle closure systems (side doors, front/rear closures, tailgates) * Knowledge of DFMEA, DFSS, and GD&T methodologies * Familiarity with automotive change management systems (GM systems experience preferred but not required) * Prior experience working across multiple functional teams Soft Skills: * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to analyze complex system interactions and solve problems effectively * Quick learner with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment * Proven ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities Company Description Branex Group is a Minority-owned Technical Staffing firm headquartered in Auburn Hills, MI
