Mechanical Assembler

We are looking for a mechanical assembler for the assembly and field support of our equipment. Must be able to build equipment to the drawings. Able to make field repairs from memory to keep equipment running with ability to communicate issues to customers and supervision. Most work will take place at our main location here on Holmes road (a controlled environment), with occasional trips to various locations

The Mechanical Assembler will assemble or fabricate mechanical parts, pieces or products using a variety of tools and equipment per required specifications in a specific area of a manufacturing organization. Essential duties and responsibilities: Read, interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products Utilize hand held tools such as a hand-held screw and drill gun Maintain inventory of product in work stations Perform quality work checks to insure the product meets quality standards Identify product defects and ensure supervision is notified Rework and/or repair assembled equipment per instructions Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures Maintain a clean and safe work area Qualification requirements: High School Diploma or GED Good verbal communication skills Mechanical assembly experience Basic reading skills
